Dean left for his last patrol on the Legare this morning. These past few weeks we've been working very hard to pack away some of the clutter and complete home improvement projects. We have several left to do that will have to wait until he returns, but it's more or less ready to be put on the market. I trimmed the front shrubs and actually completed a little painting project this afternoon. It reaffirmed our family's position that Dean is the painter in our family for a reason! But it's done!

Last night we went out for dinner and Daddy and the boys surprised me with an early birthday party complete with an ice cream cake from Cold Stone! Yummy!

I was beginning to wonder if you had abandoned your blog but did know that y'all have been very busy. Dad and I are very happy for all of you that this is Dean's last time to head out on his ship. We have realized though that this also means no month long visits from you and the boys. Hmmm...
