Back to (Home)School!

Grady Lane Homeschool has resumed classes!  This year there are 2 more preschoolers (Zachary and Silas) and a new Teacher's Aide (Julie)!  Today we even had a visitor join us - Calvin, a 2 y/o friend who had spent the night with us.
A brief overview of our day: School started with the Calendar, Songs, Bible Verse, and Story Time.  Then we worked on our Solar System books.  Then the little boys (Silas/Zach) work on special "independent" projects in their "work boxes" while Lacey worked with the big boys (James/Jacob) on their reading.  Then the boys swapped and the little boys worked on a sorting lesson and their reading lesson.
Sorting Pictures by their starting letter sounds

I was very impressed later when Zachary "read" his book to Daddy from memory (and very, very little prompting)!  He also did a nice job with his memory verse!

Lydia is also learning tons!  She's now 5 months old - see what she can do!
Learning to Sit - "tripod"

1st Rice Cereal tonight - she really had fun with it!

Great classroom picture of the Grady Lane Day school-I didn't realize that even Bailey gets to help out with the calendar. I was so suprised when I got to the pictures of Lydia and she was sitting up by herself and eating cereal. Wow-alot happens in the life of a 5 month old in just a weeks time. Love-Mom/Nana
