Zachary at the pool today as the "birthday boy"!

Friday we had a birthday party for Dean's aunt Tammy - 50th! Delicious dinner and dessert by the senior Milne's. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAMMY!
Today Zachary turned 2. Not my "baby" anymore! In fact to take advantage of that fact, he's on the 2nd night of no pacifier! In our last posting, we were in Yorktown for a few days. We came home from that for a few days, then went back last week. Wednesday, I took the kids to Busch Gardens for the day then stayed with Nana and Papa Milne thru Sunday. Thursday Lacey, Nana and I took our 6 children to the Virginia Zoo. That was a fun day, but a terrible drive home - 2 closed tunnels and 3 hours of detours!

The Milne's with the big water slide!
Then came the 4th of July and Zachary's Mickey Mouse birthday party! We held it on the lawn of Nana and Papa's new house on the river - beautiful day and perfect weather! We enjoyed having Dean's family in attendance, as well as some Stevensons, Gabberts, Palmers, and McKinneys, and Jimmy Ward filling in for his sick family. We served lunch, did the birthday cake and presents thing, then let the kids go on the bouncy water-slide, baby pool, and slip-n-slide! They were big hits and all the kids had a fabulous time!
New friends Emma and Jo-Jo with the Gabberts. Alex G., has perfect attendance at the Milne birthday parties!

That evening, the kids decorated their bikes for a "bike parade" on base - they looked very nice. Then we watched the fireworks from Bill and Martina's front yard! How convenient! It was a happy 4th!

Happy Birthday to Nana's little peanut. What a big boy you have become over night being able to go without your pacey. We loved having the whole family together over the 4th of July and were thrilled that we were able to have Zachary's birthday party here with so many family and friends. We look forward to many more family memories here at Quarters One. Love you all-Nana/Mom
We're all looking forward to your visit in a few weeks and can't wait to see 2 year old Zack. Tell Jacob we hope you all hurry down to South Carolina because we miss him. I'm writing from my couch because his cousins Macy and Campbell and his Aunt Emily shared their cold with me. Have a great afternoon, love Mom
Happy birthday, Zachary!! Looks like you had a fantastic birthday!!
