Jacob had his first organized soccer practice today. Jacob and Daddy are enrolled in a 5 week Parent-Tot soccer class at our local Recreation center. He and another young girl started off the class as the first team to be the "it" for penny tag. Jacob had a great time running, dribbling and initiating hand holding whenever the tots circled up.
I'm sure we'll be progressing to corner kicks and offsides traps by the end of the season.

I don't know who Landon Donovan is but I think that Pele should be watching his back. Jacob is just so darn cute in his soccer picture pose-I am already getting that proud Nana feeling. Deano, something tells me you wrote this post and not my sister Julie...I'm pretty sure she doesn't know what a corner kick or offside trap is! He, he, he!! I'm so proud of Jacob! Tell Jacob his former-soccer-playing Aunt Sa-Sa can't wait to come see him in October so I can kick the ball around with you guys!
