Summer Spashback: Myrtle Beach edition

Our summer was super-busy!  3 weeks away and lots of fun!  There was no time or energy to blog then, so I'm starting this series called "Summer Splashback" with looks back on our summer fun.

This summer we went to the beach.  Twice!  Our first trip was to Myrtle Beach with the Hoppers.  It was great fun!  We can't wait to go back! Big Milestones: Zack celebrated his 6th birthday on the 1st night and later in a  "sink or swim" lesson...  we're happy to report that he swam.  Jacob was performing "rescue swimming" by the end of the week for his cousin Macy (just pretending, of course).  Lydia needed a rescue swimmer at one point - again we're happy to report she was rescued.  It was an exciting week.  :)

There was a nice little playground within scooter/walking distance.

Uncle Dean playing Power Grid with the boys.
We learned that Ethan is very concerned for the environment since he always bought the "green" energy plants!

This is the iPad nook, aka "Let's play in this corner where my mommy and daddy won't see us playing this" corner.
