"What a nice day, Mommy!"

Jacob loves to say this when we go outside and it has been a nice day here! This morning was cloudy, but now it's sunny and warm. We took a walk just before naptime (to pick Skipper up from the groomer) and admired the beautiful fall colors on the trees.

We had our friends over this morning to play on the patio: Carlie and her 2 boys Alex and Ryan, Katrina with Meredith and Justin, and Heather with Luke and Emily. Carlie commented that it reminded her of when we had our mommy's Bible discussion group over here - I thought it was a little crazier, but still alot of fun! The kids played very well in the backyard and the mommies had a great time catching up with one another! We walked into the garage to check on the kids who had wandered in and found Luke and Meredith just sitting in the wagon chatting. So I pulled it out to walk them around and Jacob climbed on the back: "Jacob on the wagon, too, Mommy," he called out. There was just enough room for Zack to sit on the cupholders. Unfortunately, not quite enough room for Alex, although I don't think he minded too much!

Dean is underway right now, but they are doing training locally, so he came home Wed and Thurs evening and will home tonight through the weekend. Here are some Kodak moments from earlier this week...
Zack raiding the pantry

Peek-a-boo with the teething ring ... he's getting some new teeth

The boys are really getting into playing trains "together" ... when Zack leaves Jacob's train alone!

Great idea to move the train tracks in the playroom where there is lots of room and the tracks don't have to run under the train table. Every time we moved in the red room with the track set up one part or the other came apart and Jacob would get so sad and say "Track broken, Nana, track broken." We had a GORGEOUS day up here in Northern Virginia-I was able to get a pair of capris back out to wear for the day. Love that sunshine. :)

As we're looking at the picture right now, Jacob's crying, "Zacky broken my train, Mommy!" Like we don't rebuild it... The tracks are still in the red room, we just pushed the table back. It is nice to be able to spread them out!

Hey Julie, Dean, and Boys,

Your blog is so much fun to read....love the pictures too! It's great to see the boys growing and getting along so well together (well, maybe not so much the latter part of that sentence, ha, ha). Glad Dean isn't too far away from home this time. Wishing all of you a blessed Thanksgiving! I'll be checking your blog often to see more updates. Likewise, I'll keep you posted on things on our end. : )
