5 on Friday (almost)

We have had a great week! Here are some glimpses...

Reasons to eat dinner on the porch:
1) doesn't get your kitchen floor messy,
2) crying kids seem less loud outside,
3) it just seems fun.
Option 3 is less often used...
1) Jacob: Last weekend, Jacob volunteered to go help his dad in a service project, doing yardwork for a church member.  Proud of his servant's heart!

That would be Jacob using a hedge-trimmer...

I just told Jacob about kids' triathlons. And while he really wants to take swim lessons and pass the diving board swim test, his plan is to have a triathlon team with either cousin James or Silas doing the swim portion!
First day at the pool, practicing swimming

2) Zachary: he performed in his kindergarten program "The Jungle" today. It was so sweet - I almost teared up to see my baby boy walk into the program with his classmates!

In the video below, check out his dance moves.  He's on the front row, 1st on the left.

Water was a little chilly, so he's warming himself in the sun on the warm cement...

3) Lydia: still our little mama. She has a "newborn" baby doll that I saw her holding and consoling this morning. It's kinda realistic and freaked me out for a moment - until I realized I was holding Anna...
I guess Gabbie needed a diaper change too...

Mastered swimming in her Cinderella floatie vest quickly!

"Scoot out of the way, Mom. Here I come!"
4) Eliza: we've had alot of cute moments this week.

Love these locks!
Playing dress-up in the coat closet...
She's doing well using a fork and spoon!  Although food still ends up Every. Where.
And a few not-so-cute moments...
5) Anna: She's doing great!  Sleeping well, eating well (my first to latch on from the beginning!), and growing well - weight check at 8 days showed her climbing back up.  She was 7 lb, 15.8 oz - I should have fed her in the waiting room!

Enjoying some time outside in a favorite bouncy seat while the girls do yard work.
