50 Days Down

AND TEN MORE TO GO UNTIL DADDY GETS HOME! We are so ready for Daddy to come home. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now - there's so much to do around here between housework and yardwork and giving the boys some attention and just life in general! I also feel like we just live for the in-port periods. There is so much that he misses when he's gone and that he has to catch up on when he gets home. Even in these 50 days, Jacob's learned to pedal his bike and speak in sentences (when he wants to) and Zack's vocabulary has quadrupled and he can climb onto his bike. And so much more. Plus, email is a way to get info out, but not have a real conversation and emote (although maybe I'm doing a little of that here...). Anyways, Dean and I have to try to remember how to relate to one another. And then our next in-port period is only 30 days, so we have to try to cram life (and my dentist appointment!) into that time before he leaves again!

Well, thanks for putting up with my venting. I know that those of you who follow my blog do so because you love us and care about how we're doing and are praying for us. Thank you so much for that - it really means alot to us. This is how we're doing today, but tomorrow is a new day. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can go outside and play (and pull weeds). Here's Zack the other night when he learned how to go down the slide by himself. He and Jacob were so cute playing together on the playset.

Oh, and Jacob gives a shout-out to Abigail and Elizabeth and "Blue Crab" (for some reason he doesn't associate James or Silas with the crab) as well as Ethan and Macy and the balls at Nana and Pop's house. He wants to know if Campbell is awake?

You are doing a great job at being a military wife-hang in there because in just over a week your ship will be "coming into port". Thank you for supporting Dean in his chosen career and for being such a good mommy to Jacob and Zachary. We love you lots and lots-Mom
