Today is our last day on vacation. We have had a great week - but it has flown by! I can't believe it's already over! Maybe b/c we spent so long in SC with my parents, it seems like we should be here longer too! We have really missed having Todd, Diana, Joshua and Hannah here. We talked about what crazy fun it will in maybe 2 years when we have a girl bunk room (Abigail, Elizabeth, Hannah) and a boy bunk room (Joshua, Jacob, James and Zachary and maybe Silas)! We tried to make the most out of our day:
1) One last photo op (there were several throughout the week as you may have noticed) with Nana and Papa Milne for their Christmas card. Not sure this one's gonna make it, but I think it's the best from my camera from today!
2) We took a walk and headed to the shops down the street. I was talked into becoming a hermit crab owner/caretaker as a souvenir for the boys from Nana/Papa. The boys do seem to be fascinated by "Red-Crab" - that's the name that Jacob picked out for ours.
3) Nana and Papa took James and Jacob for a windy walk on the beach where the boys collected sea shells for their collections of treasures. Then while Zack was napping under Papa's supervision, we took the other kids to the community indoor pool to swim for a bit.
4) We ate dinner in - i wasn't quite up for taking the boys to a restaurant just to do it. We've eaten our seafood at 2 lunches this week and it's more relaxing to fix leftovers. Then after dinner I took the boys for walk on the beach. Zack stayed in the back pack sling while Jacob walked along and looked for treasures. It was very windy. We tried to fly his Thomas kite, but it was TOO windy!
5) The boys jumped in the moon bounce one last time. THen off to night-night! Papa has our car packed up so far. Many thanks to him for all of his help!
