Pig Tails and Crew Cuts

That's the name of the children's hair salon we all got our hair cut at this morning. There were pig tails on us, don't worry! (Although Zack's hair was getting pretty long!) It was great when you have to take 2 kids and need to also get your hair cut. It was a little slow, more expensive (than a barber), and I think the barber cuts it shorter (which I like, b/c their hair grows so quickly!). The boys played at the train table and watched a Thomas DVD on their 3 flat screens while my hair was being cut. Then they sat in a fire truck and got theirs cut! Zack sat all by himself! In true Zack fashion though, he took the smock (bib) off mid-way thru! I did not have my camera, though! (I know, I'm in shock too! I guess I got a little out of the habit while I was sick these past few days!).

We finally bought another forward-facing car seat so Zack can move out of his infant carrier car seat. (He is almost 15 months!) I managed to get it assembled, adjusted and installed in 3+ hours and only 1 meltdown!

I'm finally feeling just about 100% better (thanks to the Lord). I received another email from Dean written yesterday that they were busy doing an extensive boarding on a boat and then they are headed to Cozumel for a port call.
One last thing: Happy Anniversary to Dean's parents! 33 years! (According to my sister-in-law's website - sorry I didn't remember it, but I'm very happy to praise God for it!) And a belated "Happy Anniversary" to my parents (35 years on 9/16)!

We are so excited for Zachary to be in his big boy car seat. I bet life is looking completely different for him when he is riding in the car these days. I took James to Cartoon Cuts for his haircut on Monday and although he didn't get to sit in a fire engine he did watch Thomas as the lady cut his hair and he did a great job. I agree that they are a bit pricey but our lady gave him a super short cut which made it seem like we had gotten our monies worth. Glad to hear you are feeling better-I am still about 75%, James is maybe 60% and Dad started last night so he is just at the 25% mark. Love you guys-Nana/Mom

I'm so glad Zack can see where he's going now. I remember his excitement when he got to ride in Jacob's seat to the pool when you were down here. Guess this means he's a big boy. Thanks for the anniversary congrats. Your dad says it's probably the most important day of your life. God does have a wonderful way of making things work out the right way! Glad you feel better.
