We spent 3 hours at the waterpark this morning with my one and only cousin Beth and her 3 kids, Thomas, Ann and John. The kids had a great time despite their blue lips! (The water in the kiddie pool is freezing and the temp was only a cool 85 degrees!) Jacob left the park without too much fuss, but he refused to get out of the van at the house and screamed all the way up to his nap. It was pretty outrageous, but he fell asleep without climbing out of his Big Boy Bed at all! Zack fell asleep as soon as we got in the van which is his usual pattern. Overall, it was great fun and worth the meltdown (especially since they're both still sleeping!).
We're planning a "Go Team USA" dinner for the Hopper's weekly Friday night supper on this Opening Night of the Olympics. I suggested Chinese initially, but this will be easier and much more patriotic!

I spoke with Daddy just now who wanted to know why Jacob was crying. I don't a specific reason other than pure exhaustion. He had a terrific and long nap and woke up a happy boy!
