I picked up Emily's children, Ethan (7) and Macy (3) and drove them with my children, Jacob (2) and Zack (1) to the portrait studio at the mall. It was a terrible time for their appt, but the only one i could get before martha goes back to work. We met Martha and Campbell there in the mall. My kids couldn't sit still for the portraits, but they sure could smile when they weren't crying. Ethan gave either an "I'm cool" smile or a big cheese smile for his and Macy pouted most of the morning. But mostly to the photographers great credit, they did get a smile or two out of her. The kids despite the wait and boredom did very well. Campbell was perfect, didn't pout or cry or move from her seat. I think my kids need to be at least 10 years older before doing this again!
We got home too late for a good nap for Jacob, so here he is resting on the floor beside Nana ... in between announcements of "Jacob AWAKE!"
I have a lot of respect for my sister-in-law for taking her 4 little ones out and about and even to the fair! You go girl!

It has been great keeping up with you and the kids. After reading this post I thought back to the "Newlywed Game" we played before Jacob was born. How many kids did you say you wanted? I'm doing well just to keep up with one! I'm glad you are enjoying your trip.
I think I just want 2 kids now after this outing with 4!
At the fair it did not matter if anyone was smiling!! You may recall there is no mention of me taking 4 kids for photos any time recently!!
Lace, I'd recommend waiting until Silas is 10. 1 at a time isn't so bad, and you can do a collage! -J
