Saying Bye-Bye to Daddy

Dean leaves tomorrow morning to head back to VA before getting underway on the ship (on Friday). So we've had a family day today. (And yesterday to be more accurate.) We went back to the water park this morning and dragged Jacob crying out of there because he loves it so much. Actually, today after the breakfast blessing, he bowed his head and thanked God for the water park: "Dear God ... (some mumbling) ... Water Country (name of our water park in VA) ... thank you ... (mumbling) ... Amen!" Pictures: the big water slides at the water park, Jacob at the bottom of the big slide (not as enthusiastic about this one), and Zack in the Johnny-Jump-Up.

Many thanks to Nana and Pop Hopper (and the Hinson Family) who watched the boys this evening while we went out for a date night (dinner and a movie "Hancock")! We love date night to ourselves! Then we made it home for bedtime, which is Dean's special time with the boys. It is always hard to say goodbye, and this is not any easier than the others. I am comforted knowing that the Lord will sustain me and has already provided loving family (and friend) support while he's away!

Jacob and Daddy at Jacob's very first swim lesson last night. He has lessons Monday and Wednesday nights for 4 weeks - and he seemed to love it last night. Today at the water park, he was kicking and blowing bubbles and jumping in the water like he had been taking lessons his whole life!

Thanks for sharing the pics....I praise God that you had good family days before Dean has to leave. We will be praying for all four of you!
